Laptop Ninja
A blog FOR Laptop Ninjas, not about them. A Laptop Ninja is a cousin of the more common Web Ronin. As a solitary figure who's skills with computer technology and design, the Laptop Ninja survives by performing contract work from cafes, public parks, and sometimes rooftops. The Laptop Ninja's sword is his 802.11 connection, his iPod his throwing stars, and his Bluetooth cellphone his Nunchucks. All of which are usually carried in a discreet messenger bag.

Here's my new dreamtoy
The great thing about an iPod is that not only can you listen to music wherever, but it lets you take my entire (almost) CD collection with you everywhere. No only that, but it features the outputs to play it however you want when you get there (with the iTrip broadcaster or the right cables).

"Oh, you've never heard XXXXX song by XXXX and the XXXXs? Here it is!" Now THAT is a wireless lifelstyle I can get behind.

The fact that someone hasn't created an interface for the iPod dock that lets you do the same with movie files is beyond me. I want to be able to connect to a TV in addition to a stereo, and play all my favourite shows, commercials, and clips for people.

But my prayers have almost been answered by LaCie. Now should I jump now, or wait for the 80Gig?????
