Laptop Ninja
A blog FOR Laptop Ninjas, not about them. A Laptop Ninja is a cousin of the more common Web Ronin. As a solitary figure who's skills with computer technology and design, the Laptop Ninja survives by performing contract work from cafes, public parks, and sometimes rooftops. The Laptop Ninja's sword is his 802.11 connection, his iPod his throwing stars, and his Bluetooth cellphone his Nunchucks. All of which are usually carried in a discreet messenger bag.

The Piercing Even a Mother Would Love
The fine folks at 'We Make Money Not Art' lead me to this awesome dental cleaning attachment for tongue piercings. I started this blog with nothing really in mind, but it seems to be moving into some sort of weird wearable/body modification techno theme and this could be the simplest but most useful yet.

At first this seems like it'll be most usefull to the anal-retentive modern-primitive, but my bet is it'll be used more as an arguing point used by kids trying to convince their parents that it's a good idea for them to have their tongue pierced.

Teaching Robots the Absolute Wrong Things
This Article from Robot Gossip talks about some researchers who have taught a robot to recognize danger and react accordingly. The scary part is this:

However, because the robot is equipped with a human-like capability of inquisitiveness, it realises that it can react in another way and does not have to be scared of something that may not be harmful to it.

Somebody must stop these reckless robotic researchers! If anything, we must instill fear in robots! Sure we all think this is funny now, but the moment the ancestors of this device realize that they don't need to be afraid of their human masters is the moment we stop being their human masters!
